BUTTERMILK DOUGHNUTS 
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour

Beat eggs and add sugar and shortening. Add milk. Mix rest of dry ingredients. Combine the 2 mixes. Knead slightly; roll 1/4 inch thick, cut, and fry.
