APPLE NUT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. salad oil
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. diced apples
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar

Stir together brown sugar, salad oil, egg, sour milk, baking soda, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, flour, diced apples, and chopped nuts. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon melted butter over the batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Serves 16.
