APPLE CUSTARD DESSERT 
1 pkg. butter recipe golden cake mix
1 c. coconut
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
6 apples, pared, cored & cut into eighths (sliced)
1 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice

Combine dry cake mix and coconut in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until crumbly. Arrange apple slices in greased 9"x13" baking pan, sprinkle crumb mixture over the apples. Combine water and lemon juice and pour over all. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees or until top is lightly browned and set. Cool before serving.
