SOUR BEEF AND DUMPLINGS | |
3-5 lb. chuck roast 3-4 bottles Mrs. Minnick's sauerbraten mix Brown sugar to taste 15-20 ginger snaps Dredge beef (whole pieces) in flour. Brown in large Dutch oven in small amount of oil on both sides. Add 3-4 bottles of Mrs. Minnick's to Dutch oven to cover meat. Cook slowly (simmer 1-2 hours). Break meat apart as it cooks so it is stringy. Then add brown sugar to taste and cook a while longer. Crumble up ginger snaps and add to thicken. Then make one package Panni Potato Dumpling mix; add dumplings to pot and cook 25 minutes. |
