MATTHEW'S CUT OUT COOKIES 
8 c. flour
3 c. brown sugar, packed
2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 c. cold water
1 tbsp. baking soda

Mix flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in Crisco. Add eggs. Mix water and baking soda together and then add to flour mixture. Mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll out 1/4 inch thick on floured board. Cut out with cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees in upper part of oven for 7 minutes. Cool completely, then frost and decorate. Undecorated cookies can be frozen and decorated later.

BUTTER CREAM FROSTING:

1 lb. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. butter

Mix all ingredients until smooth.
