1 yellow, white or lemon cake mix
1 1/4 c. water
3 egg whites
1/3 c. applesauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two round cake pans or a tube pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Mix the cake mix, water, applesauce and egg whites in large bowl with electric beater until moistened. Then beat for 2 minutes at high speed. Pour batter into pan (pans). Bake 30-40 minutes. Cool pan on rack; remove cake and frost or sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
