HALF-AND-HALF OR ZEBRA COOKIES 
GOLDEN DOUGH:

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 1/3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour

In large bowl, with portable mixer, beat 1 cup butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in 2 1/3 cups flour. Between 2 sheets of waxed paper, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Place in freezer until firm and easy to handle.

CHOCOLATE DOUGH:

3/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour

In large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar, salt and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in melted chocolate. Add flour; mix until well blended. Between 2 sheets of wax paper.
