I had all the ingredients in my kitchen so I thought I would try this. I thought it might be good, but did not expect it to be great. It was FABULOUS!

This was one of the best online recipes I have ever made or eaten. Once the sauce has reduced in the oven after 45 minutes..It is pure heaven. The ingredients are so simple, you would not think it would taste like a gourmet meal..But it delivers. I used fresh mushrooms (not canned). I also used a red Pinot Grigio from Italy instead of a burgundy. I used red onions. I served it with an herbed rice made with beef bullion.
