BUTTERED PARSNIPS 
4 med. parsnips, pared and cut into halves
2 1/2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. stock (bouillon cubes), dissolved in water
1/4 c. brown sugar

Place parsnips in greased oven-proof dish. Brush parsnips with the butter. Sprinkle brown sugar over top of parsnips. Add to dish the stock and cover dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with parsley butter.
