CHEF'S STROGANOFF 
Juice of 2 lemons
4 c. half & half
1 lb. round steak
Salt, pepper & garlic salt
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 stick butter
1 c. mushrooms, sliced (fresh or canned)
6 potatoes
3-4 c. French frying oil

Step 1: Squeeze the juice from 2 lemons into a container or bowl filled with half & half. Reserve.

Step 2: Thinly slice lean round steak in strips. Use approximately 3/4 to 1 1/4 pounds. Salt and pepper strips then lightly sprinkle with a dash of garlic salt.

Step 3: Heat 1/2 stick butter in a large frying pan until melted and bubbling. Dredge steak strips in flour and drop carefully into the hot butter. Brown turning frequently. Add 1 cup sliced fresh or canned mushrooms. After meat has browned, pour lemon and half & half mixture into frying pan. Heat until bubbly then turn down to a simmer and cover with a lid.

Step 4: Wash and peel medium sized potatoes. Slice into French fry size. Use a basket and hot oil or a deep fat fryer and cook potatoes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, salt and keep warm in the oven until meat/sauce is ready.

Step 5: When meat has simmered until tender (approximately 1 hour) remove from heat. To serve - arrange a mound of French fries on your plate. Ladle meat, mushrooms and sauce mixture over the fries and enjoy.
