VELVEETA FUDGE | |
1 lb. Velveeta cheese 1 lb. butter 8 oz. cocoa 3 lbs. powdered sugar Vanilla or almond extract Chopped almonds or pecans (or both) Slowly melt the butter in a saucepan. Add Velveeta cheese a little piece at a time and let it melt slowly. Stir in cocoa a little at a time, stirring well. Sift powdered sugar into mix and stir. Add 1 tbsp. of either vanilla or almond extract (whatever you like better), add nuts if you like, and pour mixture into pan. Refrigerate overnight and you're done. Hint: If the mix seems too thick to stir with a fork, wet your hands and mix by hand--just like making mud pies. For those of you who think making fudge out of Velveeta cheese is strange, a lot of you ate it at the bake sale back in February. I made two batches of it and had nothing left! |
