OLD FASHION LEMON BARS 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
8 tbsp. lemon juice
4 tbsp. flour
2 c. flour
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream together butter, confectioners sugar and flour. Spread evenly on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Beat eggs and mix with salt, sugar, lemon juice, lemon rind, flour and baking powder. Pour mixture over cooked pastry.

Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cool for 15 minutes and cut into oblong finger-shaped. Keep lemon bars in fridge.

May also be frozen.
