ITALY: PASTA CON BROCCOLI 
4 qts. water
2 tsp. salt
4 c. Ditalini
1 lb. broccoli
1/4 c. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1/8 tsp. pepper
Grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Heat to boiling in large saucepan, 4 quarts water and 2 teaspoons salt; gradually add Ditalini. Boil until cooked, according to directions on package. Reserve 3 cups liquid; drain Ditalini. Prepare and cook 1 pound broccoli, until just tender; set aside.

Heat in large saucepan until garlic is slightly browned, 1/4 cup olive oil and 2 cloves garlic, sliced. Add drained broccoli and Ditalini with the 3 cups reserved liquid, season with pepper. Simmer about 10 minutes. Serve topped with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve immediately. About 6 servings. This can also be made with any other vegetable.
