COCA - COLA CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. cocoa
8 oz. coca cola
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, well-beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar and flour; mix well. Add marshmallows; set aside. Combine in saucepan butter, Crisco, cocoa and cake. Mix together and bring to a boil. Pour this mixture over dry ingredients.

Mix 1/2 cup buttermilk with 1 teaspoon baking soda and add eggs and vanilla. Add to other ingredients, mixing on medium speed of mixer until blended well. Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. coca cola
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter, cocoa, and coke and bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Pour on hot cake. It is best to bake a day ahead of time.
