MOM'S ITALIAN PLUM BAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
10 red or blue plums
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Have butter at room temperature. Add sugar, cream. Add eggs, one at a time. Add all dry ingredients listed before plums. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan and spread batter evenly.

Cut plums in half, remove pits. Place skin side down in batter. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon, fill plums and sprinkle over entire batter. Serve from pan. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Raw apples and peaches may also be used.
