FRUIT COBBLER 
1 stick butter
1 c. self rising flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1 qt. heated, sweetened fruit (peaches, cherries, strawberries, blackberries or rhubarb)

Melt butter in a 9" square pan and set aside. Mix flour, sugar and milk in a mixing bowl. Beat well. Pour over top of melted butter, but do not stir. Pour heated, sweetened fruit over flour mixture. Bake at 375 degrees until pastry rises to top and browns, about 30 minutes. Makes 6 generous servings.
