1 pkg. chocolate chips (semi-sweet) (12 oz.)
1 pkg. butterscotch chips (12 oz.)
2 cans Planters peanuts (unsalted cocktail)
Put chips in double boiler with very low heat. Empty 1 package at a time. Stir constantly to keep from sticking. Mash chips as you stir. Put second package of chips in and stir until all have melted (keep heat low). Remove from heat when all chips have melted. Empty 1 can peanuts in the melted mixture. Stir thoroughly to cover all the nuts. Then add the second can of nuts and stir well until all nuts are covered with chocolate.
With a teaspoon drop the mixture on a cookie sheet leaving a small space between each teaspoon dropped. Make pieces small or medium size. Place cookie sheet in refrigerator until it has cooled. Remove from refrigerator and thump the bottom of cookie sheet until candy comes loose. Have wax paper or aluminum foil in cookie box and place candy in box. If weather is cool do not put in refrigerator (this hardens candy). If weather is warm, put in refrigerator.
