SUGAR DIPPED RAISIN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil raisins in water until moisture is taken up. Cool and add to other ingredients. Make dough into balls and dip in sugar and flatten onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
