CHERRY SQUARES 
1 c. butter
1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 can cherry pie filling

Topping:

1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 tbsp. water
1 c. powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Mix well; save 1/3 of batter and spread the rest in 11x17-inch pan (greased). Pour cherry filling over top. Place remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over top. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until mixture is slightly brown. Let mixture cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle with topping mixture.
