PEANUT-BUTTER BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Peanut-Butter Icing

Beat butter and peanut butter for 30 seconds. Add sugar and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add to beaten mixture, beat until blended. Stir in oats.

Spread mixture in 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 20 minutes. Remove to rack. Sprinkle with chocolate; let stand 5 minutes. Spread chocolate. Cool. Drizzle with Peanut-Butter Icing. Cut into bars.

PEANUT-BUTTER ICING:

Beat together 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter and 2 to 3 tablespoons milk to make a drizzling consistency.
