BOEUF A LA FORESTER 
2 lb. round steak
Flour, salt & butter
1 c. canned tomatoes
2 cans mushrooms
1 bay leaf
6 whole allspice
1 c. red wine

Slice meat in 1/2 inch strips and dredge in flour. Melt butter in heavy skillet and brown meat. Add tomatoes and mushrooms and cook a few minutes longer. Transfer to a 1 1/2 quart casserole and add bay leaf, allspice and wine. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6.
