GREEN TOMATO PIE 
6 med. green tomatoes
2 tbsp. water
1/2 lemon, sliced
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Pastry for double crust

Slice tomatoes thin and cook with water and lemon until almost tender and drain (save liquid). When liquid is cool, add cornstarch mixed with sugar and salt. Cook until thickened. Add tomatoes, cinnamon and butter. Mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shell and top with second pie crust. Bake at 375 degrees until brown (about 1 hour). "Tastes like a spicy apple pie."
