FLORIDA FREEZER POPS | |
1 (12 oz.) can (1 1/2 c.) evaporated milk 1 (14 oz.) can (1 1/4 c.) sweetened condensed milk 1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder 14 wooden sticks Toasted or tinted coconut, granola, chopped nuts or crushed graham crackers, opt. Pour evaporated milk into an 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan. Freeze for 1 1/2-2 hours or until ice crystals form around edges. Transfer the icy mixture to a large mixer bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in the sweetened condensed milk, orange juice concentrate and nonfat dry milk powder. Beat for 2-3 minutes or until fluffy. Pour 1/2 cup into each 5 ounce paper cup. Cover each cup with foil. Make a small hole in the foil with a knife. Insert a wooden stick into the cup through the hole. Freeze overnight or until firm. To serve, remove foil and tear off paper. If desired, after standing at room temperature for 5 minutes, dip tops of pops into toasted or tinted coconut, granola, chopped nuts or crushed graham crackers. Makes 14 servings. |
