PEACH COBBLER | |
16 oz. can peaches 2 c. flour, all purpose 9-10 tbsp. cold water 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. shortening 8 tbsp. butter Sift flour and salt together, cut in shortening with a fork until like cornmeal. Sprinkle water over mixture and mix. Form into a ball. Roll 1/2 of dough on lightly floured surface to make bottom crust. Put in medium size baking dish. Add peaches, roll rest of dough and cut into 1/2" strips and lay across top of pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. |
