BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
1/2 lb. raisins
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 stick butter
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. walnuts

Mix raisins, soda, butter, water. Let stand for 1-3 hours. Then add rest of ingredients. Bake in small soup cans that have been greased. Bake at 300 degrees until done.
