BERRY ICE CREAM 
2 c. sugar
1 qt. whipping cream
1 qt. half & half
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. vanilla
2 (10 oz.) pkg. raspberries (or other berries, if desired)
1 lb. walnuts, finely chopped

Mix whipping cream, half & half, sugar, salt, and vanilla together until sugar dissolves. Puree berries. Add berries and nuts to first mixture and place in crank-style ice cream freezer and process. Makes about 2 quarts. Vanilla ice cream can be made by omitting berries and nuts.
