BASE: 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 1/3 c. rolled oats 1 1/4 c. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. grated fresh lemon peel 1/4 tsp. salt FILLING: 1 (21 oz.) can blueberry pie filling 1/4 tsp. grated fresh lemon peel 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon Lightly grease 9"x9" baking pan. BASE: Combine brown sugar and butter. Mix in oats, flour, lemon peel and salt. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture for topping. Pat remainder into bottom of pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. FILLING: Combine all ingredients. Spread filling over hot base. Sprinkle with reserved base mixture. Continue baking about 25 minutes. Apple pie filling/peach pie filling may be substituted. Follow recipe above adding 1/4 teaspoon allspice. |
