MOM'S SUGAR COOKIES | |
6 eggs 1 lb. sugar 1 lb. butter 2 tsp. baking powder Flour to roll thin (3 to 4 cups) Vanilla or lemon to taste Mix as cake dough, add enough flour to roll thin. Chill well (overnight if possible). Roll and cut thin. Bake in a quick oven (375 to 400 degrees) on greased cookie sheets. Yield: 100 cookies. This was my great grandmother's recipe. She didn't measure anything, when she baked. She used a handful of this and a pinch of that. My grandmother got this and other recipes by taking the ingredients out of the bowl and measuring them. |
