BEET JELLY | |
4 lg. beets 1 pkg. Sure Jel 1 pkg. raspberry Jello 1/2 c. lemon juice 4 c. water 5 c. sugar Wash and boil 4 large beets. Peel and reboil for a while in 4 cups of water (cut up beets). Add 3 1/2 cups of beet juice to Sure Jel, Jello and lemon juice. Boil 3 minutes. Add sugar, boil 2 minutes. Pour into jars. Makes 5 jars. Cover with paraffin wax and store in cool place (basement). |
