CHRISTMAS CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour (self-rising)
1 tsp. lemon
1 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs
4 c. pecans
1 lb. cherries
1 lb. pineapple

Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs one at a time. Add 1 cup of flour and vanilla and lemon flavoring. Mix thoroughly. Fold nuts and fruit in the other cup of flour. Pour mixture over nuts and fruit and stir well. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
