1 lb. hamburger 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. chili powder Salt and pepper to taste 2 pkgs. (8 oz.) cream cheese (softened) 1 egg 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese 12 oz. pkg. Mozzarella cheese (grated) 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles Cook hamburger in large skillet until browned. Drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, chili powder and salt and pepper. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Combine cream cheese, egg and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Put a small amount of meat sauce in bottom of 9x13 pan. Then layer 1/2 of the noodles, 1/2 of cream cheese mixture, 1/2 Mozzarella and 1/2 meat sauce. Repeat layers and sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Serves 8. |
