RITA'S FISH SOUP | |
1 onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 2 stalks celery, diced 1 (48 oz.) can tomato juice 1 can stewed tomatoes 2 pkg. G. Washington Golden brown seasoning made into broth Dash of pepper & garlic powder 1 bay leaf 3-4 cubed potatoes 2-3 sliced carrots 1/2 lb. green beans 1 pkg. frozen corn 1 pkg. peas 1 lb. cut up fresh fish (use halibut, flounder or any fish of your choice) 1 lg. can gefilte fish, cut into sm. pieces 1 c. cooked rice, if desired Saute onion, green pepper and celery. Add tomato juice, stewed tomatoes and G. Washington broth, dash pepper, garlic powder, bay leaf, potatoes, carrots and string beans. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add frozen peas, corn and cut up fish. Add gefilte fish and cooked rice if desired and continue cooking for about 15 minutes. Can be frozen. |
