MACARONI & CHEESE WITH HAM 
1/2 lb. grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 c. raw macaroni
4 tbsp. melted butter
2 or 3 tsp. chopped onion (opt.)
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 c. milk
1 to 2 c. cubed ham

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add flour and stir. Then add milk a little at a time. Stir in 3/4 of cheese and cook until slightly thick.

Meanwhile, cook macaroni until just chewy; drain and pour into greased casserole with ham. Pour cooked cheese mixture over ham and cheese and stir through. Sprinkle additional cheese over top and bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
