MACAROON CAKE | |
MACAROON: 2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. flaked coconut 1/4 c. flour CAKE: 1 chocolate cake mix Preheat oven to 350 degrees. MACAROON: Beat egg whites and almond flavoring until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beat at high speed until peaks are slightly rounded. Fold in coconut and flour. Prepare cake according to directions on box. Spoon half of the filling into greased bundt pan. Spoon macaroon into ring on batter. Cover carefully with the remaining batter. Bake 55 to 65 minutes. Cool in pan 25 minutes, invert onto plate. Glaze when completely cooled. |
