APRICOT MERINGUE DESSERT 
CRUST:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

MERINGUE:

4 egg whites
1 c. sugar

FILLING:

1 can apricot pie mix

Blend above ingredients with pastry blender and pat on bottom of 9"x13" pan. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 25 minutes until slightly brown. Remove from oven and set aside.

MERINGUE: Whip 4 egg whites until very stiff. Gradually add 1 cup sugar. Spread 1 can apricot pie mix over mixture in pan. Spread meringue over apricot pie mix. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Serve topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
