HOBO STEW 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, sliced
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4-1/2 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
3 med. potatoes, cut in chunks
3 carrots, sliced
1 sm. can peas, reserve juice for stew
1/2 c. ketchup
Water

Brown beef, keeping meat in chunks. Add onion, celery and pepper cooking until soft. In large saucepan put the potatoes and carrots. Add the meat, cooked vegetables and ketchup. Add enough water to make the desired consistency of stew. You may use the juice from the peas as part of the liquid for the stew. Bring to a boil. Simmer until the potatoes are carrots are done. Add the peas about 10 minutes before serving. Serves 4.
