GRANDMA'S GUM DROP CAKE | |
1 lb. sm. gumdrops (no licorice) 2 eggs, well beaten 1 lb. raisins 1 c. milk 1 c. sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. baking powder Mix as usual. Cut drops into 4 pieces, add to raisins and use part of flour to coat drops. Then add all of remaining ingredients. Cook in slow oven at about 300 degrees for 2 hours. Cool then serve. Will keep in plastic bag for 2 to 3 days without hardening. |
