1 c. butter, creamed 1/2 c. powdered sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. salt 1 pkg. chocolate chips Cream the butter. Add the sugar and vanilla and cream. Sift the flour and salt together and add to the creamed mixture. The dough will be quite stiff. Spread on a greased 7 x 11 inch pan and bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle on 1 package chocolate chips and return to the oven until chips melt (2 minutes). Spread chocolate evenly. Cool and cut into 1 x 2 inch rectangles. Nuts may be used for topping. |
