PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury white cake mix
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecans, chopped
4 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix. In bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter, and egg. Press into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Combine 2/3 cup cake mix, sugar, syrup, vanilla, and 3 eggs. Beat well. Pour over crust; sprinkle with pecans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut.
