CHICKEN CHOW MEIN | |
3 skinned and boned chicken breasts 3 tbsp. butter 1 can Golden mushroom soup 1/2 c. water 1 beef bouillon cube 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. Worcestershire 1/2 tsp. curry powder 8 oz. can water chestnuts, drained 1/2 c. sliced celery 1/2 diced onion 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained 1 sm. green pepper, cut in strips 3 oz. can Chow Mein noodles Cut chicken onto 1 1/2 inch strips. In a skillet, brown chicken on butter stir in soup, water, bouillon cube, soy sauce, Worcestershire and curry; mix well. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add water chestnuts, celery, onion and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over Chow Mein noodles. Some prefer this dish with rice. 4-6 servings. |
