NANA CLEM'S BROWNIES 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1/2 cup Ghirardelli grated chocolate
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Separate eggs; beat whites until very stiff. Cream butter with sugar and add egg yolks. When mixed well, stir in flour, salt, and grated chocolate. Fold in egg whites. Add vanilla and chopped nuts.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and serve.
