BOILED ASPARAGUS 
Remove the tough ends by snapping them off. Using a vegetable peeler, peel the stalks. Plunge into boiling salted water, just to cover. Cook until just tender, about 8 to 10 minutes for the medium stalks.

Prepared this way, asparagus may be served with melted butter and lemon or unrefined safflower seed oil and unfiltered apple cider vinegar.
