CHINESE CHEWS 
3/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. coconut
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Mix all dry ingredients, then add the nuts, dates, coconut, eggs and vanilla. Spread mixture about 1/2" thick in buttered pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cut and roll in balls and then in granulated sugar.
