BACON-ONION FRENCH BREAD 
1 lb. loaf French bread
1/2 pkg. (1 3/8 oz.) dry onion soup mix
6 or 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1/2 c. butter

Slice bread into 1 inch slices almost through loaf. Combine remaining ingredients; melt and mix well. Spread on slices. Wrap loaf in heavy duty aluminum foil and heat on grill. Makes 8 servings.
