1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
Enough apples, sliced to 1/2 fill a 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
One kind of apple is good, two or three kinds is the "delight"; Stayman, Winesap, Jonathan, any good baker apple

Slice apples, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder (do NOT sift), drop in egg, mix until crumbly. Cover apples with this mixture. Drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in preheated oven.

Serve with cheese, whipped cream or ice cream. Best when fresh from the oven. Guaranteed - NO LEFTOVERS!
