MONKEY BREAD 
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
1 stick butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine oil and sugar. Add egg, salt, and some flour. Add yeast mixture and rest of flour. Add boiling water last. Cover and let double in size. Knead on floured surface. Roll about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into strips about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. Dip in butter (melt 1 stick of butter). Place in lightly greased bundt pan or angel food pan. Let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
