1 c. chopped suet
1 c. molasses
1 c. milk
1 c. raisins, softened
1 c. currants, softened
1 egg
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. (scant) cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon

Steam 3 hours, 1/2 way up cans. It makes one huge one, or 3 (#2) cans 3/4 filled and 1 small 3/4 filled or half filled.
