SAUSAGE AND SAUERKRAUT 
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 onion, sliced
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
1 tsp. brown sugar
2 c. mashed potatoes
4 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese

Brown sausage in a large frying pan, drain fat. Place in a 3 quart casserole dish. Combine sauerkraut on top of sausage. Spread potatoes over top. Sprinkle on cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
