MUSHROOM TURNOVERS 
3 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix softened cheese and butter, add flour and work until smooth. Chill 30 minutes. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick, cut into 3 inch round.

FILLING:

Heat 3 tablespoons butter. Add 1 large onion, finely chopped, and 1/2 pound mushrooms, finely chopped. Cook above mixture for 3 minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon thyme, 1/2 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper, and 2 tablespoons flour. Stir to blend, then add 1/4 cup milk or cream. Cook until thick.

TO ASSEMBLE: Place 1 teaspoon filling in center of each round. Close round, prick with a fork. Turnover may be frozen at this point. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. If the turnovers are frozen, they may take a little longer to bake.
