CHICKEN TACOS 
1/4 c. green onion, chopped
1 tbsp. shortening
2 c. cooked chicken, shredded
1 (8 oz.) can taco sauce or green chili salsa
Salt to taste
12 taco shells
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
Chopped lettuce
Chopped tomato
Sour cream
Guacamole

Saute the onion in the shortening until transparent. Add the chicken, green chili salsa or taco sauce and salt to taste. Heat to boiling. Prepare shells according to package directions. Put 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture and 1 tablespoon of grated cheese in each shell. Serve with option of lettuce, tomato, sour cream or guacamole and extra chili sauce as desired. 6 servings.
